Search for the DDS converter and then convert your images to .tga.

Photoshop can make .tga files. There is a 30 day trial at Adobe.com.

The Gimp is free and will convert your images to .tga format. It also has a .dds format plugin available...it might even come with the latest version.
You can also use .jpg,.bmp and .png format images for your textures.
Jusat remember to change the .tga at the end of the texture name to whatever format you use...for example if you have a yellow .jpg texture when the entity maker asks you for the name of your texture you would type in "yellow.jpg".

remember all textures should be by the power of two. ie..256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024, 2048x2048. though you should keep them no bigger than 512x512.
