Hello I've just downloaded the demo version to test it for a game I'd like to develop, I noticed there isn't a lot of information regarding the type's of file supports..

I gather that tga and Direct X files are the main file types ??

So my question if someone can assist..

Now I have a couple of modeling programs, and with various import export facilities, I didn't find a page with compatible software cababilites, but as I'd really like to develop my own look for the thing..

So what I need to know, does the tga and Direct X refer to the textures and objects. I did see there are a couple of conversion programs e.g DDS convertor, but I'm not aware of this file type. Basically if I save an obj file can someone recomend a file convertor to the required file type.

Thank you for any assistance

P.S. I haven't read the maunal yet, but I will do that when I work out if I can use the programs that I have, or if I need to purchase something else because I haven't seen anything that converts to X.

as long as it can export to a .x fomat it will 'er should work.

.x is the directx model file
.tga is the texture file (image file)

depends on the program, if you can export to .obj then your program most likely supprts .x exporting.
