Whats the best ways to make character models for FPSC?
I've done plenty of modeling in the past for Jedi Academy but I want a good and simple way to model character for FPSC. Like which software should i use, can i use photoshop at all for it, etc.

I go with box modelling, I start with the torso and extrude out limbs, then go over it with detail. I mean, if you have modelled before, why are you asking how to model a person? Also, making a box is not modelling.

I started with Milkshape. I found it very good for a first time modeler to get aquainted with 3d modeling. Unfortunatly, once you begin modeling, you begin to lose all aspects of space and time, and eating habits, hygiene, social, interpersonal...OMG, I have turned into a geek...BA HA HA HA!

I use Milkshape only to rig My models. But the best with Milkshape is that it has a Gazillion Import and Export formats, You can open everything! (Almost.)
Belive it or not, I have never even tryed to make a model in Milkshape! Forever and ever I will stick to CINEMA 4D... Its a professional tool, but it is so easy that even a kid can make a model with it!!!
Try it. You will love it.......

I want to see a FPSC Professional! And lets make it REALLY expensive this time......

I agree.
Milkshape is what you need to rig them.
Using another program to actually create the model works better for me too.
That's because I already knew my old software, so it was quicker than learning everything about Milkshape.
However, if you don't already use a program to create 3d models then Milkshape is your do it all solution.

And we see why I was joking about a 15 year old (me) buying Maya

I've just downloaded Milkshape, it seems pretty good apart from I can't really do much in it... anyone who could list some tutorials would be nice?

Well i haven't heard of maya because i do skinning, textures, and games for game design so i don't really know much about modeling programs, and when i tried modeling my creations was 47 speres on a milkshape skeleton, so i can't really model, so thats why i started this thread so then i can model because i really need to make some models for my game.
