I have some anim8tor files. I took those files and gave them a .x extention. When I go to the entity creator it says that the 3d object couldn't be found. Any answers?

Will that be chicken or fish?

did you export them as .x, or just change the extension to.x If you just changed the extension, that will never work. They have to be exported to my knowledge from a modeling program to a .x file.

anim8or exports x or 3ds by itself.

There's a 3ds to x converter in Darknasic...

I finaly figured out this problem recently:

1.) create a .3ds from of your model

2.) Conert it into a .x mesh using DBconv(which is link by this forum in the second post or so from the top of the list of posts). Be sure to put your .3ds file in the DBconv file before you convert.
I don't think (I might be wrong)it works to create an .x mesh directly from a model - so depend on a coverter.

3.) Take your newly created .x mesh and put it into the entity user file. Also the .tga of the image you textured it with.

4.) You should now have those two files in place when you create your entity using an entity creator program.

Hope this helps!
