Hey everyone, I have a question about a .wav file for one of my guns. As you can see, the soundfile that I attached is to large to be a reload sound. I need help shrinking this sound file so that I can put it in my game with out getting an illegal sound error. If anyone wants to if they have free time, can you compress this file for me?

Thanks anyway,

Brian

Use Audacity, you can easily cut parts out of the WAV. And you can do a lot more with it

I used the program Audacity to cut out the delays at the beginning and end of the sound file.Try and see if this doesn't work.

Here's a version that's chopped down to 1.9 seconds with a file size of 167k.

Save the file as a ogg/vorbis file. FPSC will load and use that. It's like an mp3 file, but free.
