I want to make a track editor that has the freedom to alter the blocks/track sections, eg raise and lower the individual pieces. Is it best to make the track out of 3d objects that can be altered or use a matrix(I made a track in Mapedit, but I want to make my own editor which is specifically for my game). Any ideas of what you guys would do would be great.

BTW I want it to be like that old C64 game Racing Destruction Set

Thanks.

What I'm doing at the moment is using Mappy to design the layout, and a custom DLL routine to return the tile code at a specific X & Y coordinate & let DBPro create the relevent 3D tile.

No idea what I'm going to do when I want hills and troughs though...

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...
