I can't even create a level correctly without worrying about what segments i can use because they may disappear. the bug board is no help and you dont get ur question replied to until a million hours later. i know this is in the wrong board but i may get some faster service here i really dont want to abandon my project because of these stupid little bugs

how about some screenshots of the problems you are having. Then maybe some good constructive advice will come of this post.

blaze908,

Have some patience - many users have lived with bugs and issues since - well since FPSC was invented and are still waiting.

If you are going to give up that quickly you wont get far with FPSC.

You may need to give some further clues as to what may be causing your problems and you are sure to get some help.

The suggested screen shot might be a good idea.

EVERYTIME I use the military base segment it does this. There is supposed to be some walls somewhere. THis isnt the only problem. The characters are often ugly because they have the wrong textures so on and so fourth. THe main problem with it on my comp is the graphics and i know its not my graphics card bacause my graphics card has handled a Vareity of high quality games ex. rollercoaster tycoon 3 and silent hill 2. i didnt make any changes to the entities or segments that came with the program so i know it cant be that. all help is greatly appreciated. I really dont want to abandon my project.

what fpsc graphic settings are you testing with? Turn shaders off and special lighting off. I had a older card that did the same thing, but when i got a better card card all was fixed. Honestly SilentHill2 and rollercoaster tycoon 3 are kinda dated games, so yeah they will work with an older card. Also try restarting your comp. It helps sometime.

any game for pc that is over 2 years is dated to me.Also considering they are working on Silent Hill5 right now, 2 is quite dated. And Rollercoaster tycoon 3 isn't exactly a graphical effects wonder. Trust me it's your card, it looks just like mine did. I thought I wouldn't be able to use this program too but I spent a little money and viola' I have no problems with its rendering. Regardless wether it be a testgame or built game the special effects wont work with your card. I even tried updateing drivers and it was still too old. What kind of card do you have anyway?

Ok, I had this problem, or at least a similar one. If you turn on all the sexy shaders etc Scifi tends to shade differently from WW2.

Basically what your describing is what D13 told you, you need a better graphics card.

And theres no point whinging. If you can't handle FPSC's bugs, then there's little chance you would do any better with a more complex, comprehensive game engine.

Basically you have to see FPSC as an exercise in problem solving. You can get some amazing results, but you really do have to put the hours in. not just in the program itself, but investigating the file structure.
