These forums sure have been quiet (more so than usual), could this be the calm before the storm?! Both Lee and Rich have said GDK is their number one priority now that dark physics is out of the way. Ill bet well see the beta by the end of the week (assuming dp launches tomorrow like they said).

Can you feel the excitement?!! Im Tingling!

Zuh? I thought apex needed the gdk patch in order to get the whole dot net project working? How could he finish before the gdk patch is out?

Because by th time the patch comes out we would have invented time travel.

As far as I'm concerned, the DGDK.NET toolkit (Development aspect) is complete. In otherwords, it's usable now. But what is missing, is the latest update of the DGDK codebase that comes into line with the 1.62 version of DarkBASIC Professional. In otherwords, all the fixes and such that have happened to DBP need to be replicated across to DGDK. Basically it will not be long now before the final product is complete. I myself are just working on the documentation which is 80% complete.

Paul.

A future version of myself gives me thge completed version before that happens. Anyway...WOOT, update! I wonder when it comes out. And more importantly which of my email addresses did I buy this thing with?

By the look of the email it seems very soon. Maybe even today. Though probably not. Bugs always apear at the last minute just when you´ve packaged everything up.

Awee nothing yet eh? Well I saw this in the newsletter...

Quote: "This work has been finished, and we were hoping to be able to release it today with this newsletter, but some final tests were required first. Even so, you can expect to see it VERY soon! "

So thats good I guess. Now that the whole gang is working on this, "final" tests cant take more than a day or so right? ...right?

I was going to release today, but given the patience you have showed over the GDK release schedule, I thought I would implement a testing phase to double checking everything. As it happened, I caught two little problems that you can do without, so I have made the fixes and Mike will build the new GDK installer Thursday for release.

I also invite you to refresh any issues the 1.6.2 version does not remedy on Thursday and I will spend some time working over the weekend and the following week to resolve any issues within the GDK. It is also fair to mention that although a few of the fixes where prompted directly by feedback from you (such as shaders), much of the change was inspired by good old Mad Malc, who went through the entire library and compared the function names like for like with DBPro. It is my hope to keep these technologies very close together, and that starts with virtually identical syntax, spelling and case rules being strictly observed.

There is a (long) list of GSDK 1.1.1 problems in the Bugs Forum, efficiently found by yours truely - its probably on the 2nd/3rd page by now though

That'll keep you busy for a while
