this model is still very much a wip for me but I wanted to release the basic model with it's first walking/running animation to the community...

the walking & running animation is the same ; frames 1-16 ( or 15 can't remember), for walking just slow down the loop/play speed...

model is in x format so the community can play with and re-texture it... I would suggested re-mapping it because the current map is very basic and not practical for a decent paint job...

the next post will contain the png file currently being used for texturing, again I have not spent any real time on the texturing as this started out as a test model ( and currently still is a practice model)

edit: uploaded another version with more animations, if anyone cares...

The model and texture look way nice even if it is just a start for the texture as you say. What program did you use to make the texture? cuz some parts of it look like it was done in watercolor way cool.

@Poke:

photoshop + tattoo ( tattoo is a program i found on the web to paint directly onto 3-d models, kinda akward to use if your uv maps are crappy like on this model)...

the watercolor part ( guessing your talking about the pants ) is done in photoshop using layers where one of the layers is cloud rendered, which is excellent for tweaking clothing...

Big reason why this is a donation is because all of this is only a hobby to me. Also, nothing would make me happier than to cruise over the to WIP boards and see some of my models in action...

Thank you Insert Name but quite the contrary, im still very much a beginner - model and animations. I started with Milkshape about 2 years ago and once I had enough cash upgraded to Max...

As for the model and animations, everything is done in Max 8 then exported using the panda export plugin. I also use one of the few .DBO converters that are out there but wanted the community to have this one in .x format so it could be tweaked by whoever...

edit: the attached video shows, walking/running, attaching, parry, idle, and dying.. The video doesn't work... sorry about that...

Well... Heckno, all I can say is that I am impressed! You could do a second version of a bulked up Goblin, because already that almost looks like the incredible hulk lol!

It's a real good humanoid figure, does Max have good support things like that?

lol, from the work I've seen of yours for PoPR and other things, like this, I wouldn't consider you a beginner by a long shot .
