here is a sneak peek at part 2 of the "Creeps and Freaks vol.1" model Packs.
This is Grimm Jimm - an undertaker who got tired of waiting for bussiness and decided to drum some up for himself. The pistol animation has been pain stakingly altered for his 2 fisted style.
He could also double as a creepy victorian era stagecoach driver.
Comming soon.

I guess Jimms "customers" don't always stay down. Roaming the desert and covered in dust, GrimmDeth searches for his next meal to be taken down by his dual sixguns. Some folks just don't know when to die. He'll be included in the same pack as Jimm as well as more to come.

Great job with this again Disturbing 13! I have a question for you about milkshape character modeling. When you model a character, do you start with a cylinder and extrude, or use poly to poly modeling for the whole thing? I am really curious because my characters are not very good in milkshape, so I want to get better. Thanks in advance for any tips you can give me.

It reminds me of a cross between Chakan the Forever Man, and something out of Medievil. Which is of course, a compliment. Great work so far, well done!

@Havok- Its a combination of per polly modeling and useing shaped primatives. Everything I do is on paper first-every vertex and face. I don't use the extrude method; never really learned it. This gives me more control.

@Wehtam_- Thanks! Chakan was a great character, I wish they would have continued createing games with him. They were supposed to do just that and created a game and everything for dreamcast, but at the last moment they changed the character and thus Raziel from Legacy of Kain was born. I was trying for a Tim Burtonesque type thing so the refernce to Medieval makes me feel like I was on the right track.

@Uman- Thanks! Tried something different and I'm happy with the results, judgeing by your feeback.

Well here is the 3rd model included in the pack, An android Bounty hunter from the future. I call him 6r133. More soon.

Nice work. The first 2 have kind of a "Tim Burton" feel to them. Nice original work here.

@ Jon- its a bit tricky how I do face skins and such as the graphic program i use is 11 years old, lol. What I basicly do is use refernce pics some from real life and some from other apps, cut them up and alter them heavily in my art program. Its mainly useing color filters and blurr effects to get rid of inconsitancies. Once I have the refernce pic done I go over the relavant parts with what I need. I may write a tutorial on it later. The way I model and create the texture simoltaniously may be a bit hard to follow though.

@Liz-Yes I use some bits and pieces sometimes from real life pics or textures I already own, primarily for technical stuff, but for the most part I try to do all my work by hand.

@KeithC - Thanks! That is a definite influence where I drew inspiration from..

ah, i see, never mind then, its hard to find a real dedicated face painter around here, ive been having a look around CGChat forums, theyve got some good painting tuts there, though its not very in depth.

well good luck with your pack

Disturbing 13,

Nice original style.

I know these are for Model Pack.

Thats a Pity.

I would love to see you make a game with the full set of characters so that I could see the story and concept art at least for your design of an environment befitting the characters.

The thought of seeing them in action in situ in an appropriate game plot leaves ones mind open to all kinds of mind boggling thoughts about a weid, wonderful and wacky suitable game approach to contain them.

I dont mean that in anything but an envious way thinking about how they could add so much to a very creative original game.

I guess that leaves it up to someone else to take your creations and do that if you yourself dont.

Great work as always - Good luck with the models and to anyone that eventually might utilise them in their gamemaking endeavours.

@ liz- I do plan on making a tutorial for milkshape and some general modeling techniques. when It's done I'll be sure to post it everywhere.

@ Uman- Thanks! I' have come to possess a huge number of notebooks over the years all containing plots , sketches, maps ans quite detailed stories that are all intended for use in a videogame or 200. Unfortunately I don't have the time to do them all, so I have to pick my worlds to create so to speak. My primary reason for creating the stories and models and such for me is to see them cometo life; that is one of my greatest joys-seeing my creations come to life.In the meantime there are characters that I know I will never get the time to dedicate to a full blown project, so I try to incorperate a little of their world and story into the designs and descriptions of the ones I sell in the hopes that someone else can put them into a world that is similar and let them live. Never fear though, you will most definitely see a game created by me with much variaty in its characters as I try to put into my modeling packs.

@Stamina - Thanks a million man! Glad to be held in such high a light in the eyes of a fellow modeler.

I was just going to say what Uman was saying but he beat me to it.

You have such an original and specific (for want of a better word) style that I would rather see these guys in a game of your own than in a pack for other people's games. Or even better have you make specific models for my games!

It seems all the best talent isn't making games, but rather game assets.

Having said that, hells yeah I'll buy your packs!

Just throwing this out there, I do make custom models on a pre animated skeleton that are exclusive to the buyer for $60.00 a piece. Such as if you wanted your game character or me to create one specificly for your game an have all rights to it rigged to a standard FPSC skeleton. I honestly haven'tmastered animation enough to start charging for that so I only do minor custom animation if any.

yeah, basically what everyone else said.

I love the manga style, it's totally cool. Looks like it could become some kind of Final Fantasy FPS!

Top work dude.

Oh, just out of interest, what kind of polycount and final file size are we looking at here?

@Kerithion-Thanks! He's one of those guys that was just beating at the back of my head to be let free, and hopefully by monday or sooner he will be.

@bond1- Thanks! That might happen soon accually

@Butter fingers- Thanks! Lemme tell ya, the hair was a learning experience on that one. Pollycount? Sure. Jimm-1843, Deth-1791, 6r133-1487, J-2352 (the hair boosted the count).

@KeithC-I might just cook that scene up in FPSC just for the fun of it. That's just the kind of thing I'de like them used for.
