I think I'm just a freaking dork, but has anyone had any problems fading sprite plains (blobs)? I made a really neato missle that makes a black smoke trail using blobs, but for some reason when i use fade object on them it doesnt have any effect at all. I don't really have code on me, but my planes are all set up as follows: no light, ghost on, ghost set to attribute 1. The ghosting seems to have no affect on it. what i did was made about 40 clouds and they fade according to time (physics style: value*frametime#). After a value of lifetime stored into an array reaches a certain point they are supposed to disappear. They all have a life span of 100 at start and it goes down and i simply use the fade object on the life to get it to fade, but they stay the same the whole time. I'm a little tired so sorry if this doesn't make too much sence. Help! thanx

I though fade object worked on coloured objects but not textured. I use fading to black and have the smoke objects ghosted.
