Ummm... That's not a runtime.... I mean, it's 400 lines of code that does nothing, no offense. But heres what i did to it, you can look continue working on it to make it better.

You will need to add in the if statements.

It simply takes in commands from the command line parameter, reads them through a very simple parser, and reacts to them accordingly. Though, for some reason, file names with spaces in them arent run, that's a problem with dbp, not my code.

I would be happy to work on the runtime for you. Though, if I do work on it, i managed to build a very advanced parser in dbp for fun, but i am not willing to give out that code, so i can work on it with or without the parser.

If you wanted anyways.

However, if i work on it with the advanced parser, i would have to keep it "closed-source", but if i worked on it without the parser, (Instead with a more simple one) i would be able to work on it open-source for you.

My services for this are free.

Why dont we make this sort of a "Community" project?

it is a nice idea...

i think we can do that, but i need to get some parts and things done in the editor PwnAge made

like the latest version of the Updater and such things.

AND offcourse,i can get rid of the setup.exe now!

So it would be open-source? That would be fine.

Here is what I can implement now:
If statements
Variable setting
Events
Areas for the player to go to
BASIC and ADVANCED commands for the player to do
and alot more.

I'll get started when i go home. (Well, continue anyways)

I hope you don't mind a bit of friendly competition?
Mine's written in dbpro and is very different from yours though, as you don't have to write any code for mine Anyway, I won't mention it again here if you don't want

With mine, I have nearly finished the actual executable. This uses a script. The script is only used at the start of the program. This means that all you do is to define all of the objects, rooms, and actions available, each of these has properties you can change. You start in the first room defined, and the program lets you interact with the objects already defined by the script

Although the script is in english, and is perfectly changeable in notepad, it can get quite large, so I will write yet another program which writes the script to be interpretted by the engine<breath!!!>

Anyway, having both our scripts that are different will give people a bit of variety

If you couldn't be bothered to read all that, I don't blame you.

i think its intresting what others do.

and the creators of TAC are not using a pre-defined script to build off.so this engine has quite high capability's and you can make everything to your own wish.

When I've made a playable/creatable version, I'll post it in the WIP board so you can see what it's like
