this is a normal map:

you use them by turning normal maping on in DBP and pointing it to your normal map file.

you'll need a graphics card that can run shaders.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

there is no such command in dbpro !
does just the "set bump mapping on" works for this ??
the doc just seems to indicate that this commands allows normal mapping on an object but , then ...
why people just took months about translating normal mapping shaders
in dbpro ?? ( like in shader threads )
could you be more precise please ??

A program is sensed to be a conventional mean to give orders to a computer and not being obscure, weird, and full of traps ,that is closer to magic stuff (Dave Small).

shaders are like meshes, its hard to make a range of shaders that works for everyone, so dbp has support to load your own shaders in, however most people myself included doesnt know where to start on writing a shader, however if you look around for freddix`s shader pack it has a collection of loads of shaders including atleast 4 normal mapping ones.

sorry yes, you use the set bump mapping on command, even though it actually sets normal mapping on.

the reason that people have made their own, is that the one built into DBP is rubbish. it doesn't actually react to lights in DBP, so is essentially useless. however there are shaders floating around that people have made that do, so hunt those out.

I don't have a sig, live with it.
