default is on ,

off to take manual control then you can say

if I press button
1=phy set vehicle max motor 2, 200.0
2=phy set vehicle max motor 2, 400.0
3=phy set vehicle max motor 2, 600.0

When it starts to move fast I think it does for you, take the demo and change the phy set vehicle max motor 2,XXX to some high number and see what happens when you drive around, also you my need to up the brakes.

Had a play with the demo cant make it skid or pwer slide which I would expect it to do as you say if you turn up the motor power.

All that happens is it just turns over in the corners.

Also had a play with the front,rear,4WD command seems to make no difference I would expect understear, overstear ect depending on what drive format u have.

Well if it rolls over when doing corners its doing what it should.

As for how you do a real power slide I would not know only have a front wheel drive car.

Look like you might have to find the minimum grip of the wheels to the ground.

Yer I was thinking there would be a material setting for the ground and a grip level for the tires and when it reaches this max then it slides but cant see any.

however if the vehicle is rolling over then maybe your collision box top needs to be lower...(how many VW vans do you see power sliding...in the demo that is pretty much how the physics is setup as, take a look at the demo in the physics viewer)

Ink all over the screen...and dang it! Signature still does not show.

I'm considering getting DP, but could you tow something with a vehicle realistically. I was thinking of making a truck sim...

@ CJD

Using the joint commands i think you could do that quite easily. I heard somewhere in the forums someone was making a train simulator, so i would look around for that topic, as their was quite a bit of info on it.
