i have 3ds max 5. i want to add hair to one of my models as a final detail... im not sure how to do fine hairs though. ive gone through my manual and ive looked through all the tutorials that come with the program... and i cant find any tutorials.

how can i do it?

max 5 didn't have any sort of native hair modelling plugin, thats why you can't find it.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

You would have to Purchase something like Joe Alter's Shave and a Haircut to have Hair in 3DS Max:

Shave and a Haircut

Unfortunately you can only get a demo version for Maya.
