Dark GDK / Sprite question

When i try to display a sprite the background dosent display, when i take out dbSprite the background shows, what gives? Also i want the sprite background transparent, background is RGB 0,0,0 but is still opaque.

You need to use either BMP or a PNG with a transparent layer.

k thx, but i cant get the background jpg to show when i use dbSprite its just blue.

That code looks suspicious, you're loading the jpg into bitmap 0 (the screen) so whenever the screen gets refreshed it will clear it. I'm guessing that adding the sprite causes the screen to start refreshing every sync.

I'd suggest loading your backdrop as an image and using dbPasteImage every frame to draw it instead.
