Is Character Shop absolutely required to make the skeletal animation files for character models to be used in fpsc? I'm downloading Fragmotion now,.. will that do what I need? thanks

Character STUDIO was used to make the animations for FPSC. It is a component of 3ds Max.

You won't be able to use the FPSC biped with either Character Shop or Fragmotion.

So, basically,.. I MUST buy Character Studio or I won't be able to use my own animated entities (enemies) in FPSC?

I saw an Avenging Eagle tutorial where he created a simple object in Anim8tor and put it in FPSC. I was hoping that I could model my characters in either Anim8tor or Blender,.. then make my own animations and rig them to my characters using another freeware program.
