I am currently in the middle of a fairly large project for a local high school. I have written a program that allows the user to have fun with real physics. It is a prog where two opponents sling it out in a water balloon fight using catapults. I have figured out all the physics for this project, however I am having a problem with my catapult doing what I want it to do. Here is what i have done and maybe someone could tell me a better way or ' the right way ' to accomplish my task. I created a model of a catapult frame with 3d canvas and an arm. I've also created a balloon. My problem is when i link my balloon to the catapult and swing the arm I can't find out where the limb(balloon) is in space so my calculations can take over and make it fly.
limb position x,limb position y limb position z always return 0,0,0 so how can I find out where my limb is?

patch 4. However I haven't actually tried it with patch 4 because it was not one of the listed fixes.
