well its taken me what... 7hours (from a template) to get a forum up and running.

Feel free to join, not sure what i'm doing with alot of it - so be patient with the moderators which have access rights as they might change daily ... hehee

However any moderators/admins will have Kyi at the start of thier name, and they have levels which gives them certain access rights. higher up thier name sounds the more power they weld - but its not all just given away

Have fun there ... and it'll be interesting to find out how long 94mb lasts - there is no attach with that particular forum, so that should help. And it has page culling which will REALLY help

The Outside is a evil place to be, too much light, too much noise and too many distractions....
I went outside once and my FPS rate dropped to 5.

Just setup an additional address to the site, upto you which you use really - but the new one is simpler ...

http://www.fmtau-forum.tk

I'm updating the forum right now to accept uploads, i saw the current version and didn't like it - was too easy to get around certain things, so updating it for Lycos.
Trying to figure out howto setup the uploads for another site, as it keeps wanting the base directory of my site - guess i'll have to try and sort out a way where the attachments setup is in a seperate file.

Working on a new style as well, one which is more fitting to FMTau - so hopefully in a day or so i'll have finished it with the new cascade sheets.

Hopefully over the next week the acceptance of my new address for FMTau will come through,
http://fmt.forum.[country].com and http://fmt.home.[country].com

... so if you live in japan then it'd be http://fmt.forum.jp.com, the site link goes to a background link which hopefully will change the site and forum languages for your area - and thanks to David Coffel, we have a site translator upon upload. All i have to do is update in english and it does the rest

Oh some may also notice that right now the Beta Area is accessable by all - this will not be the case in a few weeks. That section is being recoded (by someone who knows what they're doing ) and will be setup for Bika members only! The ranking system has been altered accordingly already, however not properly tested ... be nice to finally see proper forums for the FMTau site and Team.

YAY ... tooks me arond 2hours to develop, another hour or so to intergrate (althought teething problem to start with)
However i have a basic attachment setup working!!

It supports most files that you can download, and a couple that arn't - gonna add ascii language files (suchas dba and cpp) as code veiws later - but for now everything you upload can be 256kb except archives & setup exe's which can be 1Mb (1024kb)

probably gonna eat all my space up but i'm just too happy to worry about that right now

No one told me until just now that the signup was bugged... i've set the sign up to instant activation, however i think my smtp server has a real problem as it wasn't accepting the php email to be sent and causing an error. Really need to figure out howto fix this bug.

Just added new job offers from industry companies,
Rare Ltd (UK) and Bungie (US)

we have been in contact with a few more companies about the job offers - soon to post some from Rebellion (UK), Core Design (UK), LucasArts (US) and Westwood (Irvine-US).

Also looking into the job opportunities in a few German and French companies - as my language skills aren't exactly top notch this may take a while to confirm such positions
