I have had EZRotate for quite sometime now and I just recently found a need for it and attempted to install it. It installed as it should, I verified it with my order key and away I went to test out my new commands.

I opened up the first file which came with it (01_GlobalRotComparison.dba) so I could mess around with the different EZRotate - Euler commands. I compile it to see what all it does and immediately it throws up an error 'Could not understand command at line 44.', I thought that this could be due to the dll not being placed in plugins-licensed in my dbp path, but this was not the case. EZRotate.dll is in fact in 'C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\Dark Basic Professional\Compiler\plugins-licensed' where it should be but the error persists.

I have removed the installation and reinstalled it to no avail. I have even tried the 'repair' process where it tries to reinstall the plugin and this too didn't work. I have installed BlueGUI, AdvancedTerrain and other dlls with no problem, this was my first hitch.

I am running dbpro 6.2 anyone have any suggestions?

First, were you using the free basic version? If so, then remove that dll from your "compiler/plugins-user" folder.

To me, it really sounds like it did not register correctly. TO test, go to your "compiler" folder and run the TGCOnline.exe file.
Do you get EZortate listed as a registered dll? It should list: EZrotate (valid certificate).
If not, then MAKE SURE that you are using the CORRECT authorization code. The only reason that I say that is because there is no real way to tell what plugin that you are registering because you just list place your e-mail address and the code. I once made the mistake of trying register something over and over again. It wouldn't work for anything. I then realised that when I bought the plugin, they also re-sent me my authorization code for DBpro. I was looking in the wrong e-mail and using the wrong code. I just kept re-registering DBpro
Anyway, if it doesn't list EZrotate with a valid certificate, then something has gone wrong in the registering process.

Only after I was unable to register the full version did I find and install the free version. I have removed the free version's dll (as it is named the same as the other, the free version is 236KB while the paid version is 76KB). I installed it on my home computer and it too would not install. It said it installed, but it isn't working. I am using the authorization code in my most recent email from TGC, and it worked when upgrading to 6.2? When prompted for the authorization code and email, i put them in and it said it was activated successfully, so I am not sure what the issue is. The code is highlighted as it should be in the ide, so it is seeing the new ini settings, but it is as if the compiler just isn't talking to the dll as it should, as if it were not registered.

Any other suggestions?

Does the subject line of the e-mail that you are getting the authoization code from contain: EZrotate? As I said before, I made the mistake of using the wrong authorization code before. It is easy to do.

It sounds like it IS installing ok, it just isn't authorizing correctly. Did you do the TGCOnline test that I suggested? That will definately tell you if it is authorized.

Regards,
Ron

Wolf, a thousand thanks my problem was in fact that I was using my dbpro order key when attempting to register ezrotate. I know I read it when you replied but somehow I overlooked it

I will go hide under my desk now.
