I saw there had been an old thread asking about Joysticks. Well in an FPS I have never seen anybody use a joystick. It would seem in my opinion to be the most awkward way to control an FPS character.

I am used to doing my shooter gaming on consoles however, and therefore I am accustomed to gamepads.

Has anybody been able to create a work-around or script to allow them to be used instead of just the keyboard controls?

Yes, it really is a big help because so many people have been brought up using console controllers as opposed to keyboard only.

I have found out that even though it did require a bit of adjustment I learned that it is better to use the keyboard simply because you have more input options.
I might try programming my gamepad for my pc though just for kicks.
