Ive just finished texturing another character for my horror theme. This guy has had his face removed and replaced with an iron mask.

Looks great, Higgins!

I used to have one of those signs, but then realized how annoying it was...

it looks good to me.

but i do have a suggestion. I would make the stitching on his pockets a little less obvious, on most pants, you can't see the stitching like that.

I know what you mean Zaibatsu, but if I change the colour your not going to see the detail as much. I can always make a cloned texture with a less obvious stitching.

I am going to add a collar to the shirt he has on and fix the seams where black appears.

Not bad, but for a scary dude, dont you think hes wearing too cheerful colours? Try and make them all ripped and dirty etc, i reckon!
Keep up the good work!

Oh, I forgot to ask: What program(s) did you use to create your character? I'm going to take the plunge and purchase MilkShape. I'd like to try making some characters too!

yeah, they look alot better now that they don't have bright white stitching showing.

When my mom had her first wedding, Her uncle would not wear a tux becuase it was uncomforterable. So all the guys worw leisure suits to the wedding. Which I have no problem with becuase I like leisure suits, but I only like white lieusre suits. The leisure suits the guys wore were black leisure suits with all of the stithing showing, and the stitching was in white. It was aweful!

Yeah man, looking pretty cool!
I would recommend, if using Photoshop, go to Adjustments>Hue/Saturation>And turn ya saturation bar down a touch. Bugger around with it all, and I think it will develop itself, as you already have done!
Good work,
Dan.

Smitho, let me know which one you like more. I think the one on the right looks the best, but what do you think?

I guess that was aimed @ me, huh? No worries... I just thought that the character could do with some eyes and a mouth, that was my input... Put it down to my lack of imagination.

What software are you using?

It wasnt just you Deadly, it was the others who asked the same questions.

He is called iron face, because "people" have removed his face, actually cut the bone away and added a iron sheet.

The software I use is 3D Studio Max and Paint shop pro.

Ok, how does Iron Face move? I mean, have you animated him yet?

As you can probably tell, I am interested in creating characters. I am going to buy MilkShape as I cannot afford the dizzy heights that is 3D Studio Max. I was wondering if you could send me the texture files via email so that I can have a go. Hey, I'm in anyway suggesting that I can do your characters better. No way. I would appreciate a way in. It'd be an interesting project.

Hmmmm... That's a shame... When are you going to release the pack?

Hey, if anyone has a character and wouldn't mind me having a go @ creating a texture / skin, please let me know. Please send the file(s) to this email address: teknoid024@aol.com

Cheers!

My only suggestion for this is if you were to make the iron plate look more like it is melded to his head. Putting some frayed skin around the edge of the mask would probably do the trick. Right now it just looks like a dude wearing a mask instead of a guy whose face has been replaced by an iron plate.

Good work.

Conkers dont have sight either, this guy still has ears though, so he can hear where you are. I dont think it really matters about the realness of him, its just a horror character for my pack.

Each version looks better and better. He doesn't need eyes either..anyone here remember the guy from Resident Evil 4 with the eyes sewn shut? He finds you by sound, that dude scared the holy crap out of me.
