nah, he/she wont get any paid work just yet.

@Badmon - Good looking suff, but not payable just yet methinks. It looks like you dont have the firmest grip on UVmapping just yet, so keep practicing!!

BTW, if you arent looking for paid work, my oops.

Good looking models, but not really clean enough just yet i think.

You have a heap of talent mate, keep it up!!

Nice stuff, what tool do you use, looks like Cinema 4D 6 and Hexagon 2...if it is, cool, we match

Generally that material isn't payable, but there are those who do pay for that, generally those on a budget.

Looks like a mix of Z Brush and some other packages. I personally wouldnt pay you for any work, I dont need to, I can already model and uv map and partly texture.

Z Brush is quite easy to produce high res models, so I cant say Iam impressed with that. Your low poly stuff doesnt look that hot, I know most people around here can do just as good, if not better.

This isnt really the place to advertise your skills for paid work. If you wanted paid work, you should have checked out some job sites.

Well, Some renders and editor screens reek of Cinema 4D 6, as for the displacement mapper, it could well be Zbrush.

Your Zbrushing still needs some work, you need to use harder brushes and model a middle layer of detail. The alioens looka ll blobby and smith, but some good texture detail in there, it's a common mistake that people new to zbrush make.

Lo poly looks alright, the smoothing groups are whack tho.

For all I know, you cloud be showing us work, some one else did and your posting images to say you can model. Then when people ask for a model and pay you, you download a free model and give them it.

I knew some one in the fpsc forums who carried that on for a good 3 weeks before we found him out.

I cant trust you very much and because your new and asking for money to model, then its only right for me to think your a thief.

dont worry about the peanut gallery, they dont have anything to show, just critics without an idea or direction.

Don't take it personally dude. If you're new here, then you won't have been witness to the number of scams that get carried out on here. As a result, it's unfortunate that the more experience members are a little more sceptical.

As for people making you offers, it's unlikely that people will need a modeller a day, two days or even a week after you post your advert. I would sit back, and practise your craft, safe in the knowledge that real projects will come to you when they need help.

However, I will add that it looks, from your portfolio, like texturing is not your strongpoint - there are no real examples of serious UV and texture work.

Don't worry about Higgins - he's been posting fairly 'spicily' recently (who knows why - forums are forums). It's a shame that you're new and don't know who the personalities are, yet. Some people go through phases and you can usually tell if they've been having a bad day/week/month and are acting out of character. Develop a duck's back and you'll be peachy - the really bad ones don't last long.

As for your models, nice to see you're getting the hang of Z-brush, but most people around here will have more use for low-poly work. Your one example of low-poly (your quadslug-thingie) has got some strange smoothing lines on it, but shows promise.

I prefer the philosophy, innocent until proven guilty, you don't feel like a fool when they turn out to be innocent...I personally do believe him, people who steal people's work, tend to get proffesional work, from well experienced/trained 3D modellers.

I like the work, good Zbrushing/C4Ding, not perfect, but then none of us are.

As for Higgins, I think he spends too much time in the FPSC forums, there are good people there, don't get me wrong, but some people can poison your mind...like the whole of TGC has done to me You all made me go insane, before I was looney, you lot just pushed it too far...now give me some sympathy and beg for forgiveness

There are reasons I will act like the grouch, but I will not post about the reasons, I just post with the attitude I have at the time.

So I can say I am sorry for being silly and calling you a theif.

Personally I'd avoid posting how you feel, before I started sixth form, there were many people that would aggrivate me,I hated it, made me in a bad mood, I avoided it on the internet. People who tend to post when they are in a bad mood tend to get flame, which just makes matters worse, don't worry, I don't flame unless someone actually deserves it.

Iam not telling people how I feel, I could be really happy, but I havent said so, and this comment is not hinting to me being happy, sad, or any of the emotions.

All I said was there are reasons why I act like a grouch, not I have emotions for acting the way I am.

So I will now leave and let you carry on.

Higgins it aint right what you're saying but Badmonur that's really jacked up. You have no right to post those names and threaten Higgins like that. Yes, I know he's acting like a friggin [insert obseity here ] but his punishment is looking like a loser by typing it anyway. (no offense Higgins) I like your art badmonur but that post was seriously messed up. I'd appreciate it if you removed it. I'm VERY appalled by it. No one cares about your petty argument. That goes for both of you.

sounds like someone else I know. I really hope you weren\'t talking to me, when I give crits on anatomy I have studied anatomy before. When i give crits on detail and structure, I\'ve studied them before. I haven\'t seen one model from you, and maybe 3 vector pieces . you might be the best in the world, but if i was you i sure as hell wouldnt say that.

yourt crits are good but I dont se how you can say that with the amount of work you put into this community.

i don\'t do diarreah from the mouth, when someone is learning an art I dont like to bullsh*t around to make it sound like what i\'m talking about.

I can say so much crap, but since I\'m not sure about it i dont spout about it.

Quote: "Then when people ask for a model and pay you, you download a free model and give them it."

uhh... no that actually doesn\'t usually happen. Talk to polycounters, thats where you find out what goes on in professional modelling jobs. Your crapping at the mouth, you obviously have no idea what it\'s like to be a professional modeler.

It works like this. If the model is a load of crap, they don\'t get payed.
The people buying don\'t care about who made their model as long as they have it... It\'s bull like this that makes me want to explode. Like indi said, Some of you really are full of it.

Badmonour, I think your models are very good, but your still learning alot. Too much so to be making lots of paying models. This is only because the first will be worse than the last. lonies or a 2 model job would be good for you about now I think.

Oh and what s up with the hacker threats? :\\ kinda lost some respect from that... plushacking WOW and hacking domains and e-mail or w/e is alot different... just lay off I would say.

Heh, reminds ye of someone don't it?

Badmonur, looks like a good start, but I wouldn't go pursuing paid work just yet. You gotta add polish. (As most of your stuff is either too high poly or untextured)

edit: And what's with the kiddy "hacked" list?

as for the hacked kiddy list.

That will earn you a permanent ban around here, after that a simple call to your isp will cost you cash, lose your email and basically cause you grief.

If you think livng in Costa Rica saves you from this you will be sorely mistaken.

Enjoy these forums with respect or you will find yourself slapped into next tuesday.

I may not get along with some people here because they dont like my style but they are part family and some newcomer script kiddie throwing down a challenge will get a big shock if they try to keep it up.
