Don't update it yet. The current update causes more problems than it fixes.

I used to have one of those signs, but then realized how annoying it was...

Ya know, most people have their first and last name as the name they use. *scratches head* So either you have a really bad case of amnesia, or you didn't exactly use your actual name when you got the program to begin with.

I never said that was the case. It could be a variation of those.

For example, most business-related things, I use my middle initial, but with FPSC I can't do that because of how I signed up for it. Whatever name you chose to buy the program, that's what you need to use.

It seems to me that when you sign up here and order something, it is made clear that your orders/downloads/etc are tied to your e-mail address, which is your username. TGC clearly states this and warns about changing your username.

Think about that for a moment. And how exactly would you like us to help. Please contact TGC, but I'm not sure that they can help you either.

The forum provides a means to hide our true identity. Too bad we always screw up and let it be seen.

What I'm more interested to know is what username is he talking about - you don't need one to install the update, or any of the model packs. You just need your V1 serial number.

Hello all,

I do believe he is refering to the name field, above the serial number field. However, you do not need any specific name for this, generally you can just use your own name or your group or company name.

Cheezermega, if this is what you are talking about, and you feel that it is the name you are entering which is not allowing you to proceed, this is not so. Please check your serial number and make sure you are entering it properly; as this is the only reason you wouldn't be allowed to install the patch.

Good luck.
