I did a search on this and I' am the only one with a post on the segement editor. Does anyone use this tool or is there a better way to edit segements?

I can do the tutorials with the segements that had been setup for that purpose but if I put a different wall segement from FPSC into the segement editor is just crashes as soon as I start to move the segement around.

Also I made a concrete texture seamless with photoshop and saved it to the segement editors texture bank and it does not show up when I go to use it with the segement editor. I saved it to the texturebank as a tga file.

Also I would like to make my own custom segements but don't really have a way to make them X files. I don't think milkshape saves them as X and lightwave does not. Does 3DC? Also I' am not sure how to size the custom segements.

edit OK, I got a plugin for lightwave to export to X so that should work for creating custom segements and anything else I need to create that needs to be in the X format but I still need some help with the rest of my issues. How do I size custom segements

edit
I have pretty much got a handle on custom segments. I can make them in lightwave and save them as low(lightwave object) then I can import them into milkshape and export them to X and they will go into the segement editor.

I still need to know about the texture and size question?

I'am trying to work out the size thing by trial and error but if anyone knows the correct size to make the segements please let me know!!!

Thanks in advance for any help

I use MagicFPS to create my custom segments: http://www.uberdroid.com/fastfps/index.htm

it's not free but I think it's easily the best add-on I have purchased for FPSC... worth every penny...

I don't want to see a FPSC Professional!

I will checkout magifps. I have blender and bought a book but never really got into it. I know lightwave and milkshape pretty well and did not really feel like taking the time to learn another program. Maybe one of these days!!!
