Some people may know this but this is how to install Model pack 3 without the update.

Make sure you back everything up before starting.

1:make a new folder on the desktop (name it what you want.)

2: Install the model pack 3 but when it say where to install to make sure you install it into the folder you just made not FPSC folder. To do this click the browse and point to the folder you just made.

3: Once the model pack has installed copy over the m3 folders in these folders to the same folder in fpsc, so you end up with a M3 in your entitybank folder and so on:

Entitybank
meshbank
segments
texturebank

4: Next copy over the m3 audiofolder and then go into the materials folder and copy all the files to the fpsc saying yes to replace any folders.

5: Now go into the script folder and go into destroy and copy these files to fpsc(the same as the script folder)

6: Do not copy over the laugaugebank folder or the FPSC-GAmes.exe.

Note : Make sure you copy the file over to the same folders they came from in fpsc or it will not work, make sure you dont just copy over the files folder over as this will stop fpsc from working.

This is only a workaround untill the update has been fixed.

Hope this will help some people out.

You don't need to do that on a unpatched fpsc. Trust me.

My love is seperated in 2 parts, 1 of them is 3ds Max 7, the other; FPSC.

TGC are aware of the problems the current updates are posing for users and the urgency for a fix.

They are working towards a new release which will be as soon as is practically possible at such time as stabilty is to the best of their knowledge - accessed to be credible.

@ Gemstone Games : I cant see why this would not be ok to do this as you not changing any of the pack just making it run with out updating to V1.01.

@ DJ Professor K : I have tried all methods to get this to work at full speed but on all my old projects it runs at very slow fps because the model pack 3 install's the update patch when it install's.

Aa uman has said TGC are working on a fix and if you like me and want to use your new model pack in your older projects this is just a workaround.

If any mods feel this is wrong then del or lock the post.

I have tried using some models from model pack 3 with version 1.0, but when you build the game, some of the textures don't show up.

@Walker dead productions :

Yeah some show up with no textures but this is simple to get round all you have to do is point the texture to the model in the fpi or right click the model in fpsc and pick the texture that way.

Here a picture with the pipes in v1 from my newest game im working on.

One of the problems I was having was with the flourescent lights, namely "flour_light_box_lit" and "flour_light_box_unlit." They would work fine in Test Game, but once I built the game, they would have no textures. I'll try adding the texture path in the fpi later and see if it works.

Install the latest patch (1.03 RC1) and see if the problem still exists.
