Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the for-next commands only work by increments. I could be wrong, though - I've never tried a decreasing number...

By default FOR/NEXT works with increments. The STEP command is used (mainly anyway) for negative movements. It is up to the BASIC concered to decide whether to do at least 1 loop (depending on whether the comparison is at the start or end at of the loop). The C64 BASIC V2, for example (if I remember correctly) would have done the first loop once only.

By the way, STEPS dont have to be in 1's...

Had to look this one up as I've never heard it before!

Nice phrase, it means: Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard

i.e. user just does not understand how to use command properly.
