Hey guys, how would i go about repositioning an animation in 3d studio max 7? I downloaded this model and the animation has it walk, but when it does, it leaves the 0X,0Y,0Z position and so it does it in-game aswell which, needless to say, causes problems.

I tried making new keyframes and moving it back to the 0,0,0 point, but then that just screws the animation up. Any ideas?

Goto to the motion panel, open the tag labels, create a new label, select the center of mass of the object's bones (if its a biped, select the diamond thing, if a bone search for a point, if there is none, assign a point to the bones)

For each key of the center of mass moving in the apropiate axis (say, he's walking alogn the Y axis), set it back to the value of the first one (first keys is at y=10, so al keys are set at y=10).

As far as i know this works ok, thought sometimes you might need to retouch some stuff.

Further on my stuff at...

The model doesn't use a biped.. its just frame-by-frame using IK solvers, theres no bones. I'll have a look into the motion panel when i get home from work. Thanks.
