Here's my scenario(in arena mode): swat team starts on one side of the map and specialist on other side, swat team has to rescue some teammates from the other side, one of them must have the key to open the door where they are captured,so specialist can't enter the room(otherwise i can't use the win zone inside the room)but the problem is that i can't let swat team pick up the key(or any other object i can assign as a key) because they are static, anyone knows how i can put them to dynamic, because it's the key of the map, without it, the map's worth nothing.

Thanks in advance

I think you could just right-click on the object and change it's type from static to dynamic?

I think you can't use Dynamic objects on Multiplayer. Forgive me if I'm wrong.

You can edit the static property in single player mode but not in multiplayer, actually i don't know why they did that but my question was if there's a way around that.

You can't have dynamic objects in multiplayer except for characters, doors, weapons, ammo & health.

Well, if you really want to - you'll get werid results, but this is how to do it:

1. Go to File->Prefrences
2. Under 'multiplayer' change it to single-player
3. Right click the key or whatever and change it to dynamic, or change a script (for a door for example)
4. Do the same except set it to singleplayer.

hmm maybe i can do it like this: i let the swat team pick up ammo for a weapon that's not used in the map and use that as the key to open the door, will that work?

Airslide... 70% certain that that doesn't work... as noted by many others MP automatically changes thing at don't have the isAmmo, isWeapon, or isHealth tags in the FPE... may be wrong but...

Similarly, just add isHealth=1 to the FPE of the key... if it works, no body knows.

I got it to work with the method mentioned above, i let the swat team pickup ammo for a weapon that's not in the map and put the game to preferences for a minute, changed the key to the name of the ammo, put it back to multiplayer and played and it worked Only the message still sais you needthe key but if you have the ammo in your inventory, the door will open when you press enter.Only other problem now is that the win zone doesn't work :p
