Hi @ all

I'm currently working on a tool that may help when creating bug reports. Simply run the tool and let it collect all needed data from the PC. With this tool you can compile a complete report about the PC, it's peripherals, DirectX stuff and a screenshot of the current desktop. When ready, it packs everything into a ZIP file. You can send it to Lee or someone else who needs to know your exact specs.

Functional:
+ collect PC and DirectX information (selectable PC peripherals)
+ taking a screenshot
+ creating an entry to insert into a forum with all needed specs
+ zip everything together

I'm currently working on:
- collecting information about the currently installed FPSC version
- updated installer

If you're interested in testing the tool, simply download it here:
http://www.prismatoid.de/fpscreator/demo/FPSC_BRG_Setup.zip

After the installation you need to run it manually from the install directory. (usually C:/program files/FPSC_BRG) There's no entry in the startmenu yet. (working on that)

If you've any ideas what to implement that may help, just let me know. I'm currently working on it and want to release it in the coming days.

And here's a screenshot of it:

Happy testing

Good morning all

There's an updated version available now. I implemented the first batch of FPSC installation checks and updated the installer/deinstaller (Startmenu entries now.) Would be nice if somebody could test the new version. Same link as in the first post.

Good news Version 1 finished. Now you can create Bug Reports with all necessary information in a few seconds. Simply run the tool and create a Bug Report. After creation finished, there's a new directory in the tool directory with all files for the report. There is also a zip file, that you can send to Lee or Mike for bug hunting. Same download link as in the first post:

http://www.prismatoid.de/fpscreator/demo/FPSC_BRG_Setup.zip

Now working:

+ collect PC and DirectX information (selectable PC peripherals)
+ taking a screenshot
+ creating an entry to insert into a forum with all needed specs
+ zip everything together
+ collecting information about the currently installed FPSC version
+ updated installer
+ Bugfix when saving screenshot to JPG
+ Bugfix when creating ZIP file
+ Integrated Bug Report viewer
+ Changed the forum entry a little bit

Hope you find it usefull.

Thanks for all the hard work. Did you know that V1.03 RC2 is out and contains this?

The forum provides a means to hide our true identity. Too bad we always screw up and let it be seen.

I checked RC2 now and updated my tool again. It now runs the FPSCreatorDumpMem.exe when collecting FPSC details (if it's available) and adds all results of it into the final bug report zip file I think that's a great addition now. Same download address as above.

Updated on request.

+ some sort of auto detection of the FPSC installation path
+ full implementation of the FPSCreatorDumpMem.exe results
+ creates Bug Report Email and adds the BugReport.zip to it
