Yes, I've read the docs, and I've searched and read EVERY post on doors and the problems and fixes etc...I still hate putting them in.. lol, seems that I can keep getting a few of the same problems over and over again.
I know it's just that I need to keep working at it. Just gets a tad frustrating after a bit. Okay, just needed to vent a bit.

One question I could not find an answer or, and I *did* look. When I use the prefab segments to create a room, and then put in my doors (lol assuming they work after testing them), I have a few textures I *really* love and paint using, paint just the walls from the segment menu. If I paint the door, again, it's blocked. So is it I just have to not pain the segment that has the door in it? (yeesh, not even sure that paragraph made any sense :/)
