Hello! I don't usually post here (I stay tucked away in the FPSC forums), anyway I made this mecha robot thing, but it'll never make it into my FPS, so I thought I'd post it here and see what people thought. It's partly inspired by the bessemer bot on Tinkergirl's page

http://ccgi.firewyre.force9.co.uk/brassgoggles/?m=200609&paged=3

It's only just started, but I thought it looked pretty cool. Nothing compared to some of you vertex-heads out there, but you know, comment's and crit would be nice.

(next post is a gun thing I just finished UV mapping and texturing, please check it out too!)

I think it all looks good except the feet. Don't take that personally, I just think there could be more detail there. Like more pistons and acuators or whatever. The rest of the mech looks super-awesome though!

yeah I thnk I'll give him like ninja toes (2 toes?) although I might have some kinkd of claw thing and some Hydraulics.

Looking at it now, I don't like the feet at all, and I wanna make the top of the leg (where it joins the axle) more rounded.

oh yeah and attached is the gun.

Nice job Butter Fingers. The gun's texture looks quite good and the mech is coming along nicely. About the Mech though, you know where the bullets go in? I think you should make a small little thing jutting out where they go in so it doesn't look like they just magically appear inside the guns. Hopefully you got what i just said.

Cool! Another Bessemer-inspired mech. Looking cool, Butter fingers - I'll be interested to see how it moves.

Looks pretty good, except the details are kinda lopsided. Like the legs are kinda sparse, but the tubing is all super-smooth. Really I think you could afford to cut down the detail on the tubes a lot, and maybe add some detail to the legs and feet.

One thing though, it's nice to see a mech that doesn't look like a Battlemech ripoff .

Do I sense a mech warrior fan?

They look good.
