Hi all,

I wanted to bring this to a wider audience, so have re-posted Lee's original message and game here:

"Basically, if you have a hand full of DarkPHYSICS commands in there, and it shows some cool interactive physics, you have a chance of winning some great prizes. Do not be put off by the fact we have limited the demo version, download it right now and check out the demos we have provided. This will give you an idea of the wealth of commands available, and the areas you might want to include in your submission.

To demonstrate it's not just words, I gave myself one hour to write a game using the DarkPHYSICS demo version, which I have attached here. Granted I could spend days and weeks making it multi-level, and much more fun, but I think it gives you an idea of just how accessable the competiion is, and with a fun idea you can have something knocked up and submitted in less than a week!

As the saying goes, you've got to be in it to win it. The best part is that it's free to be in it"

You need the PhysX driver installed, this being a Dark Physics demo and all.

Wow. that's probably better than I could do anyway. But I guess I can take a look at the code.

Setting the mass of the crates to 100 gives interesting results.
In this case the statue was rotated but not knocked over.
At low masses, the crates are more like bullets and high values won't hardly go anywhere.

Sweet game, I tried to float enough boxes, then knock the statue on top of them and see if I can keep it from sinking.

Alas, I got about 2 seconds before the boxes floated away and statue sinks.

I can't get any fewer than 3 hits, but pretty cool demo.

Oh, duh! Sorry

EDIT: Don't you think it would be a good idea if it said that you don't have the drivers though, as an end-user to a game may find this error and not know what to do. Like instead of that error, it could say:
Quote: "Unable to find PhysX Drivers. Please ensure you have them installed"

Or something to that effect?

I think this should be made a "1 hour and 5 minutes" game. It needs a reward adding for a one-hit win...

Grats Cash! Where'd you hit the statue? I tried all over and couldn't get it.

@Agent Dink -
I hit it on the side of the head. It takes a minute to rock back and forth. It's a box, so don't aim right at the statue.

Speaking of which, is there an official way of detecting whether the drivers are installed or not ?

It runs well on my Intel 915G laptop too.
