'tis, for the thickness of the back, the front is creepily thin I think. But it is a demonic thingy...and a pretty one at that

Problems? Yes I used to have those...until I went insane.

looks spiffy Johnny, as per usual.

What is mudbox like as a program? Does it compare with z-brush?

Thanks everyone for your comments.

greenlig: Oh much so, z-brush has some new plugins that are quite nice, but when it comes to workflow mudbox is kicking z-brush'es arse real bad. Once Mudbox is released, z-brush will have to go though some changes if its to grab its audience. Mudbox's interface is much like any other 3D modelling package such as 3Dsmax/maya/XSI which makes it familliar to the 3D modeller.. I also found it to be a lot faster, and to make use of my computer's resources. I can easly run it at the same time as XSI, PainterXI and OpenCanvas with no slowdown what-so-ever. Its only in Beta yet though, so people need to apply for a beta release to try it out.

Way cool, looks like somthing from doom 3. I like how the arms get way huge after the elbow at first glance i thought he was wearing gloves but no there just really beefy arms. I love the name too Demonic Thingy, lol, a lot like how i name my things. now if only i could make them look that good as well.

Awesome stuff jonny, love it, nice level of displacement mapping.

But is it more, or in that first screenshot of the last update, is the guy a bit layed back, or is that because of how the camera is...Or should I stop tilting my head everytime I look at it

Seppuku Arts: Hehe, thats just the view

I went ahead and finished the lowpoly version as well to have a go at making Normal maps and Ambient Occlusion bakes.

Here is the result.

The bakes posted here are rendered out in low-quality as high quality seems to take a few hours I might do a re-bake later.

pretty nice result you got there jonny for a low quality render ..i guess you use XSi for that and I confirm than render at high quality with a high resolution mesh quite dense can take a really long time and freeze your system sometimes ...

so maybe you can try to render by separating the part of the mesh if you have trouble ..

anyway that's quite nice mesh you got here ..as usual

looking pretty sexual johnny...

personally i'm not sure about the eyes, they clash with the rest of the model.

it also looks a bit seam-y around the whre the fringe meets the forehead.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

wow, looks awesome, but to make it more demonic i think it should have glowing red slits for eyes, it would kind of fit better with the overall colour, sky blue is a bit too happy.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I kept the eyes blue, cause I kinda liked that clash it made, also perhaps it can relate a bit to his human side I don't know about the "y" though.. hopefully I've covered it up somehow.

This is the finished product though, as it was just a test.. I'll leave it like it is.
