It's a part of the modelling program 3ds Max.

So, unless you have 3ds max, those files won't be of any use to you.

3ds max is CRAP. I recommend you get maya 3d, and an exporter.

Too bad they have no refunds =-(

Don't tell people that 3ds max is good, when it's not, or Autodesk will die in buisness and have to send messengers door-to-door.

Death is only the end of the physical realm, eternity in the astral plains awaits you. But people are ugly there, and there are not very many multiplayer video games. So stick with earth for a while.

What does this have to do with the topic?

Umm, Autodesk also makes Maya, so they win either way. Besides, 3ds max and Maya are not their only software . They make HUGE money on their CAD/architureal design software, not to mention Studio Tools for the automotive industry.

From your post I assume that you work with a 3D app for living, maybe in the games industry? Am I correct? If not then I don't think Autodesk has anything to worry about from you spreading the word that max is crap.

Then again, I just saw your other post in another thread. I don't know of too many game pipelines that consist of Maya-Poser-Milkshape. LOL

I guess you should have tried it out first before coming to the conclusion that it was "CRAP".}

3DS Max isnt crap,it just takes a while to learn it.most people say its crap because it takes to long for them to learn it.

as for 3D arts it is a great application.

um crap i dont think so. Ahahah. Thats just silly. Very funny indeed. Actually 3ds max is used quite frequently for movies and video games. While Maya is more popular with movies...3ds max is usually the standard in the gaming industry. The last time i looked. And even if it isnt the standard anymore.. its still a great app if you know how to use it or take the time to figure out how to use it.
