Hi, names Vhan.

At first I was amazed at the thought that I could make my own short animations as I slowley read over my lighwave built in help manual...

Then I eyed the shelf in the corner...And picked up the rather dusty copy of DARK BASIC VERSION 1.12 It was old, but after I found out that It could support AVI files...well leats just say that the poor people who lived next door to me had to put up with girly screems for about half an hour...

however...one thing is still keeping me from acomplishing this...

How can I change my models into .x format? (so I make my own models too!)

I know this has been coverd before, but plese, help a guy out!

I'm kinda new to the whole DARK BASIC idea, but I have 2 years EXP. with Softimage|XSI (somewhat unsucessfully teaching myself...) and now finally a years experience with Lightwave. (with someone to teach me this time...)

--thanks for everything!

It is not my goal to create a image that captures the viewers eye, but to create a event, to capture the observers imagination.

¿Qué? AVI files are animations like movies, while X files would be object animations, in 3D. What do you mean?

I'm guessing you mentioned AVI's because you are now excited to use DarkBASIC... so based on that premise you can import .lwo files into Blender. From Blender you could use my handy dark basic exporter script to export the model to Direct X. Here's a link:

Blender to DBC

Enjoy your day.

Yea, thats it, If i can plugin my AVI files (that I know for a fact i can make with lightwave) then I can also make my own objects...

All I have to do is make them .x files (thanks latch) and then put them in my media files right?

It is not my goal to create a image that captures the viewers eye, but to create a event, to capture the observers imagination.
