This is a tile generator I've decided to make for any 2D games that I might decide to make, so I can just have it handy. Can't save yet, still pretty much in early progress, only started it last night, but it works pretty well. You can create a grid, then by clicking on The Tiles Tab you can add different tiles, and give them colors (there are also presets), you you can just click on the grid and it puts that certain tile there. Right click removes that tile. You can go to View>Hide Tile Numbers to get rid of the numbers on the tiles to speed the thing up a bit.

looks fun to use if it exports as db using a function like freesprite() then pieces them together that'd rock!

This looks like it could be very usefull. Are you planning to add a way to use images as tiles, too?

Updated:

-Fill Tiles by Dragging Mouse (optional)
-View>Hide Grid will Hide the Grid

-Edit>Clear will clear the grid
-Control+Mouseclick will set the current tile to the tile you clicked on

It's turning out quite well for 2 nights' work

Nope, doesn't work like that. It basically exports numbers in a text file rather than an image, and from there, you can choose how to use those numbers however you like.

Nah, I think saving should be done pixel by pixel...
order: (pixel#,red,blue,green)

For Example:

1,255,0,0
2,25,80,70
3,0,30,255

Or save by groups.

That's what I've decided to do, but I'm gonna save the actual tileset seperatelly from the map, the colours done really matter when it comes to loading the files as levels
