I think I recall seeing several at turbosquid, though they might be a bit higher poly than you need.

There is one, but it is in .gmax, not .3ds or .x .

Can anyone make one for me? or direct me to a site that has free .3ds or .x bows and arrows?

It should bw possible to convert .gmax to .x or .3ds in some kind of program. Maybe you should be searching for a converter instead? I belive LithUnwrap is capable to convert to many different formats, but I'm not sure it can handle .gmax.
Pherhaps you could ask someone who has 3D studio max if they can convert it for you. Gmax has something to do with 3D Studio Max, right?

Lithunwrap does not support .gmax

@ Higgins

Thankyou Higgins, I didn't see that! although I could still use an arrow model...

@ Medieval Coder

Thanks for that bit of info.

Now if someone could texture the bowes and arrow for me..

Ah I see it now.. there were just too many files on my desktop.

Although I still need a texture. Could someone please make a 512x512 texture, one for the bow and one for the arrow?

mate, its a good idea to download lithunwrap and have a go at texturing the models yourself. best way to learn is jumping in at the deep end!!

I have Lithunwrap, I just know I'm horrible at textureing. I don't have the skill.

EDIT:

When I open Lithunwrap and load the model, all it shows is a rectangle of polys.

google for a tutorial. I personally found lithunwrap to be hard to use, but then again, blender seems the easiest thing under the sun for me...

Then your skilled. I had Blender...Too many buttons for me

And it would be nice if I didn't have to wait a year until I got trained enought to make a quality texture... maybe if you made it for me

You will only use 20, maybe 30 buttons in your first year in blender. Its all about what you need to use as opposed to whats availiable.

I would make a texture, but I'm emplyed full time making 3d animations, so I have NO time to do stuff anymore. My poor games lay at home, neglected.

Ahh well we go onward, upward!

Continue to try with blender, I mean I'm teaching a 9 Year old, and he is grasping it well!!

Greenlig

Ok, but Higgins already posted the link...http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/211080

Or, on second thought, I'll post up just the bows and arrow. Give me a 'sec.

Edit:
I'll add a knife that also needs a texture, but which uploader would you recommend?

Wow looks great! downloading now...

Edit:

It's very good, but could you separate the bow and the arrow into two different objects? Other than the lack of a texture() it's very professional for a quick model. Wish I could do that...

Right...

Benji, I'm sure you are perfectly capable of learning to 3D model and to texture, it is not hard at all, you will not find everyone all of the time to be nice enough to make you something, good thing it was a rather simple object. I found myself instead of asking for a model, I looked at 3D apps, found anim8or and started there completely clueless on how a 3D model is made, I looked a few tutorials to get me started and taught myself from there (thats the slow route, follow as many tuts as you can) and you'll find in the end you'll be happier with what you have, you will start of with the most embarrising models, but practice and you'll progress.

We can't do everything for you, as you have the model you want, open up lithunwrap, UVMap it and then texture in GIMP or paint.net, if it looks bad, learn from it.

the bow, the arrow and the the string
are all separate objects within the same scene.

I made this in hexagon2 waiting for my serial number to maya 8

since all objects are made from cylinders i would apply a cylinder uv mapping.

The thing is..I'm not a texturer, just a programmer . So even if I found out HOW to UV map it by cylinders() I couldn't texture it.

I have your bow and arrow working now and it looks really neat. As soon as I fix a few bugs in the game then I'll post it in WIP.

BTW is it ok when I eventually give out the demo, that the bow will accessable to anyone? Even though you already posted it up publicly here, I just want to make sure...
