What is the best way to make nice graphics for 2d or even 3d programs? At the moment, I only use Microsoft Paint, which is far too basic. One problem is, I'm not an artist, and I'm pretty sure that most of the people on these forums aren't, yet I see nicely made graphics in games in the showcase. Here is a screenshot from a game I made. The graphics (and game, for that matter!) are far too simple. I need nice, smooth textures and not just bland, basic colours like in Microsoft Paint. (I also have Paint Shop Pro 8 and Graphics Gale, but they are both so complicated.)

well IMO the best graphics programs are photoshop and paint shop pro, i used to use PSP the most, but now i prefer PS, it has much better features, although i still use PSP for some stuff

i would say if you already have PSP 8 there isn't too much point in getting another program, PSP 8 has some nice features

it may be complicated at first thought, but there are two solutions to that (i would reccommend both):

1. Find some tutorials, there are plenty out there (espically for PS)
2. Practice, as they say; practive makes perfect
