Hi eyeryone, I haven't posted anything here in a while, so i thought I'd show you my fish I made today in my maya class. We had 2 hours to create a fish model that were going to be using for a video so here is what I came out with after 2 hours. I know it's very high poly, but its for a movie not a game. Enjoy

And the Wireframe View

I has a few problems that i need to fix with it but i'm having problems figuring out how to make it work in maya but yah, thats about all I have to say. So what do you think?

Looks great! I like the texturing, only thing i would say is the geometry is a little odd in some parts in the wire frame view.

ditto to Mucky Muck, nice texture job, its a bit dark, I think you've used more polygons than you should have really. However its good, I like.

Oh, i'm all aware of that, but the instructor for the class kept telling me to make it smoother and smoother so what can I do but to smooth the crap out of it.

Are you talking about around the mouth, eyes and gills? Its that way cuz the mouth is inside the mesh and the gills are made so they can open and close when it breaths. Oh and also on the back there are some indents around the bones so i added them in there. The eyes are also seperate objects so i can aim them around with a locator in the video.

I do agree that it looks to dark, i think is mostly from the bump map and the fact that its only using default lighting on the render but i will have to figure that out later.

Thanks for the commets Crazy, Mucky Muck, and Seppuku. Maybey when the video is finished i'll post it for everyone, that is if the video turns out ok.
