Hello everyone. I'm trying to make a cutscene for my game and I was wondering what a good screen recording product would be to record some video on my computer. I've been searching around and all I've found is crap. I need something that records with good quality, records audio, records video and isn't choppy. If anyone can tell me some good products I could use please tell me.

Tried screen recorder gold it was very choppy even when I increased the fps and I'll try fraps.

Edit: Ok I bought FRAPs but do you know what would be nice? If it would let me record. I set everything up and press the damn hotkey but it doesn't do anything...

the default is f9, did you try while inside a game or just at your desktop?

it has to be inside of a game.

hmmm, I wouldn't have bought fraps if i were you, the trial is good enough.

Yeah I was inside the game...I don't know why it's not working. And the reason why I bought it is because I needed some features that came with the registered verson :o meh oh well...can anyone tell me how many fps you have to use in order for screen recorder gold to not have the play back footage all choppy?

AVIScreen from Bobyte (I think www.bobyte.com) It's free. Probably shut down all background tasks with Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL) for good FPS (including explor.exe which is windows desktop)

Watch out, this bunny bites...

uh, I would NOT recommend shutting down explorer.exe, you lose the entire windows interface then.
