HowDo, the plugin that I put together, based on the code I have, it definately tries to use the RS232 serial COM ports for reading. Infact it's got 'COM1' as the reading port number. I don't think that it uses the USB port unless that's configured like a COM port.

You might actually have more luck with the serial connection, so let me know how you get on with this.
