Can FPSC setup a joint system where there is a lamp and chains the chains are anchored to the ceiling with a joint and there is a joint at the base of the chain and connected to the lamp. When you shot the lamp and chains it reacts a swing around?

make a swing animation for the lamp and a static animation for the lamp.

script would have a line like

:shotdamage=1:animate=1

(where animate=1 refers to the swinging animation)

every time you shot the lamp it would swing.

This would save you a bunch of CPU, as it wouldn't require physics.

that and the fact that FPSChas no support for your technique!

heres a screenshot. Its a render to show transparent areas. But if you shot it twice before the swing animation is done from the first shot then will it try to play again

That script sounds about right. Don, don't worry about a glitch like that. Chances are people won't notice. Also, I don't think it's possible to make a dynamic light swing in such way. Correct me anyone?

ok, perhaps make the script:

:State=0,shotdamage=1:state=1
:state=1:animate=1
:state=1,frameatend=X:state=0

that should stop the re-looping.

(where x is the last frame of the swiong animation)
