Hi,

Hope i didn`t miss a tutorial for sounds! I would like to use my own sound effects, is there any set format they must be saved as?
I usually work with PCM wav 22050Ghz Mono. Would this be fine?
Do i simply replace all original sounds by renaming my own?
Can i add sounds and simply point to them using the script?

Thnx for any assistance.

T!nker

Not that I'm aware of.
Probably.
Yes, but you should back up the generic ones you replace.
Yes.

You can use WAV, MP3, or OGG formats.

really?

waitwaitwait, for me anything above 44,100 Mhz doesn't work.
but 2205000(or so) Mhz works for you?!?!?!

wow, my sound program can't even go that high.

@ Luke314pi

Hi, I have tried mp3 but it does not play in game? Any special settings?

What`s the deal with an .OGG file?

@ Silent Thunder,

I convert my sounds using CoolEdit, nice programme, not too expensive. I have a 10MB Sound file that plays fine using 22050Ghz 16Bit Mono

Thnx again.

What I use is Adobe Audition V2 and set the Ghz lvl 41000.

I don't know what you're interested in, but that works for me.

I normally use .wav types, but .mp3 is good.
(There is also a thing called a .MIDI type. I don't know what it's used for.)

@Luke314pi, I agree with T!nker. What's up with .ogg types?

Sean
