Hi all

Please can any help me.
I have a severe problem with slowness with my system and dbpro!!!

I have the following laptop specs

Althon 1gig
256 ram
TwisterK 16meg laptop video card

I have all the correct drivers
downloaded and installed latest patch
Direct X 9.0
And defragged and optimised with norton

Is there anything that i can do to make this work faster or is it a lost cause!!!

Could be the video card you've got... I never heard of a Twisterk card before. DB pro needs a decent 3d card for it to work effectively. Anyway if it is the video card then I recommend getting a card from the geforce or ATI series. You can get a good geforce 4 64MB card for about £40 to £50 from http://www.dabs.com

The guy has a laptop, you ain't going to be very successful in upgrading the graphics card to GF4 64Mb.

if the laptop didn't cost more than 2k chances are you wont have much luck in speeding it up short of overclocking everything...

Hi,

Yes, I had the same problem and I believe that the problem was DirectX 9.0.

I re-installed the laptop with Windows 98 SE and installed the DirectX version provided on the DBP CD and then it worked well.
