Hi all,

I've been modelling for a quite a while now, and only just starting looking at animation. I'm currently developing my media for my entry to the TGC Nvidia Comp.

This quick video is an example of some tracks for a tank model i'm creating (the game is an RTS game). Its got 16,000 polygons, so the tank track alone is not game friendly, but its going to be used in some FMV sequences in the game, with a simplified version created for use in the game with the same animation.

Let us know what you think!

Why is the animation so abrupt, it seems like it starts moving for less than a second and then stops and goes the other way. You should make a video of it going one direction for a while and show more than one complete cycle of the tread. I do think your animation it looks good, I just want to see it rotate more.
That is a lot of polys, but if its for an FMV it really dosn't matter. the only thing that does is how good it looks in the video, but i'd say so far so good, keep it up.

Thanks for the feedback.

@Poke a fish, the tracks are heading in the same direction, its just that it's going so fast in the middle that it seems to change direction, similar to what car wheel rims do when they are travelling fast.

Ah, i see, does the program your using allow motion blur? That may help show what is going on in the clip, especially with really fast movement.
