when my characters die they lay at 90 degrees but they seem to be off the floor by a few feet (as if they we lying on an invisible table). Is there something I can change in the FPE that will make them be lower when they die?

I had the same problem. You have to export Your enemys with the correct JT X-Exporter, and You must have the right export-settings as well. If You are using Milkshape You can find the settings somewhere at this forum...

I want to see a FPSC Professional! And lets make it REALLY expensive this time......
