I made these a little while ago. I'm not the best at public speaking, but hopefully people won't get too lost trying to follow them. The first is a general GUI overview, the second is a "The basic feature of Maya" thing. The next will be modeling a treasure chest, then the next will be about UV mapping it, and the next will go into texturing using Photoshop. I may do one after that on how to get it out of Maya as something usable in-game, no matter what engine you're using.

P.S. Feel free to donate anything you like (Paypal link at the bottom of each vid tutorial page) if you liked the tutorials. 20+ MB vid tuts take their toll on my websites bandwith and I apologize for the "Ums" ... again, I get nervous

P.S. This is what the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

its a good start however these features are videos already in maya 8 when you open the program.
no ones going to pay for them when they are free within the package.

perhaps give these tutes away free and more advanced tutes would reap some extra cash for you.

good luck however, the overall tute 1 was quite good.

These are free. Donation is strictly up to the individual watching, and whether or not they want more free ones.

with many series of tutorials they let you watch the first 3 or so.

I realize these are free but if you were to adapt the same approach as others then people would see at a glance what they can get for their dollars.

It wasnt a personal stab or anything just an observation regarding other tute website methods.

I appreciate the advice. I'm not sure they'll be good enough to sell, but then again, it'd be a better way to generate income than the rare kindness of the passer-by. I think the treasure chest tutorial will be a free set, along with the 101 vids, and I'll have character modeling, texturing, riggin, and animation as per-vid pay. Maybe add some other helpful tutorials to the mix, like how to use photoshop to produce material effects and rendering for certain texture needs (i.e. metal, stone, clothing).

Thanks again!
