3 Dimensional Chat / Gmax models in DBCe

I use Gmax for making 3D models. It is basically a lesser 3DSMax program. I am not sure what the exact differences between the two are(Seeing as how 3DSMax cost an insanely large amount of money) but I was just wondering if it is at all possible to convert Gmax models to 3DS files, or to at least use them DBCe. I tried to export the model to see if I could make it into a .3DS file, but the only format I can use is .P3D(Plasma 3D, I believe) and I don't think that works. If any help on this is available, I would greatly appreciate it.

i agree that gmax is a very good modeler i used to use it but you might whant to look the thread helpufull posts about 3d and on the list of lionks thers on that says gmax it is aleagal to use it in dark basic or summit like that

Illegal? Not cool...maybe I'll just use Wings3D instead. It contains 3DS exporting.

EDIT: dude, that's serious. I have decided to get rid of Gmax and use Blender3D. It is WAY better anyway.

i dont think gmax is ileagal i was just say look at that post i only think its ileagal when u export modeks in formats like x and comman stuff

Also wings3d is a very good mmodeler , i like modeling in it but im learning blender now

GMax was made for modding, and generally modding alone, like

Maya PLE and Softimage|Mod Tool. Freebies for the modding community to get the most out of professionally used tools for leisure, plus it brings more business when one of those modders takes a liking to game making/3d graphics.
