EA and Eidos are publishers not development houses...
and i wouldn't count on DarkBasic Pro being used - probably will be taken up be the smaller houses, but just isn't stable enough nor is it accessable enough for a big houses.
to a professional staff who work in the bigger houses the time saved by using DBpro would be minimal really, because most teams can get up a basic engine similar to DBpro in a matter of a week ... and have it designed specifically for the task in hand which makes it much faster.
i don't think we'll ever see DB Professional within that end of the market, it'll have to become a fully standalone language with DirectX as an APi library.
